Residential Programs for Women

LTR has three residential programs for women uniquely designed to meet the individual woman’s needed level of care.  Each residential program is staffed with skilled, caring counselors and house managers.  LTR is committed to excellence in all aspects of service delivery.  The staff places a strong emphasis on safety, tolerance, and community in order to create a healing environment.  Major research has confirmed that women are more likely to successfully complete treatment if they participate in gender specific programming which addresses their particular needs.

Residential services include:

Adolescent Services

Outpatient Continuing Care

LTR provides outpatient continuing care for adolescent girls with substance abuse issues (as well as co-occurring disorders) who are transitions to the community from residential or institutional care and need ongoing support to maintain stability and sobriety.

The goal of continuing care is to assist these girls to form another, more appropriately supportive community—one in which the challenges of their recent release can be discussed and addressed.  Most clients are returning to the communities in which their substance use and other self-destructive behaviors originated; therefore LTR utilizes a therapeutic relapse prevention and harm reduction model that helps to avoid or quickly tackle the pitfalls of early recovery and reintegration into the community.  These services include both didactic and process oriented groups, family support, integrated case management and individual sessions.  The therapeutic model is consistent with our residential program---that of gender-responsive, strength-based, and developmentally appropriate treatment.

Residential Care

LTR is a strength and advocacy-based residential and continuing care treatment program designed to help adolescent girls build positive and productive lives free from the effects of substance abuse.  The program provides gender-specific, developmentally appropriate treatment services for adolescent girls with co-occurring disorders.  LTR encourages clients to create a life for themselves in which their addiction and mental health problems are no longer their sole self-definition.  We support them in developing a sense of self that is strength-based and sustainable so they have the opportunity to emerge from treatment as young women with the community commitments and relationships that will allow them to maintain their sobriety and emotional stability.
